Keynote Speaker

Brent Bettis VP, Information & Operations Technology Services & CISOPeabody Energy Brent Bettis is Vice President of IT Services & Chief Information Security Office for Peabody. Brent is globally responsible for Peabody’s IT/OT strategy, resources, and technology innovation. In this role, he establishes enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps to align IT/OT resources to maximize business value from technology solutions. Furthermore, he is responsible for establishing and maintaining the cyber security vision for mining and corporate technology solutions. 

Brent has over 20 years of experience in systems architecture, IT strategy, and cyber security, including 7 years at Peabody. In addition to cybersecurity and systems architecture, he has extensive expertise in digital strategy, crisis management, portfolio management, risk advisory, and business transformation. Brent has been instrumental in driving Peabody’s digital transformation and was instrumental in setting the strategic direction for Peabody’s cyber security program. Prior to Peabody, Brent held IT leadership positions in the consulting, energy, and Department of Defense sectors. 

Brent holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Arts degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally, he has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2006.

Gina Yacone CISO (Advisory)Mountain States Region (Trace3)

Gina is the Information Security Official for TRACE3’s mountain state region and is based in Denver, Colorado. She is tasked with developing and implementing internal cyber security processes and solutions for her region. Additionally, she works closely with TRACE3’s Security Solutions Leadership Team to develop the customer-facing go-to-market strategies for security solutions and customer success.

Gina is an information security strategist and speaker with a unique technical vision and business acumen. She is responsible for educating client organizations about the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape and helping them build dynamic cybersecurity and privacy programs. She loves focusing on the unique challenges today’s organizations face and communicating TRACE3’s value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients.

Gina has built an extensive track record of success, delivering the vision, key leadership, and strategies to take IT performance and security to new performance levels.

Gina is a Rotarian and an active member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), InfraGard, and regularly participates in DEFCON and other local hacker meetups. Gina sits on the board for Tweens & Technology.

Prior to her work in information security, Gina was a licensed private investigator for Barry A. Cohen, P.A., in Tampa, FL. While there, she specialized in high-profile, complex litigation. Gina holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Miami, Miami, FL., and is pursuing her master’s degree in cybersecurity from the University of New Hampshire.

Parker Brissette is an experienced cybersecurity leader and trusted advisor. With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology practices. He has proven experience working with and serving clients from Fintech, Telecom, Healthcare, Insurance, Banking and more. He is dedicated to enabling business growth through cybersecurity. He understands trust is important to growth and achieving security compliance is the best method for building trust with your customers.

Merlin Namuth Director of Advisory Services and vCISOLodestone

Merlin Namuth is Director of Advisory Services and vCISO at Lodestone. He has over 28 years of IT experience – last 25 years focused in security. His comprehensive experience spanning several industries includes leading 6 different security programs, creating strategy and building security programs from the ground up, advancing existing security programs, mergers and acquisitions, managing incident response teams, computer forensics, compliance, architecture, and engineering complex security solutions both on-prem and in the Cloud. Namuth has served as an advisor to security startup companies. He has presented at numerous conferences, including RSA both domestically and internationally, been interviewed on renowned security podcasts, and frequently writes blogs and articles.
